Due to their structural design, there are no aisles between the racks, which promotes compact storage with maximum density of layout. In warehouses with Drive-in racks, handling equipment operates directly inside the structure. These racks provide 80% utilization of the useful volume of the warehouse, which is 25-30% more efficient compared to standard front-type pallet racks. CONSTRUCTION: A Drive-in rack is a rigid structure consisting of vertical frames connected by horizontal beams, cross braces, and a system of supporting rails on which pallets are placed. The bay spacing of the drive-in deep rack varies depending on the required number of pallet positions and the dimensions of the loads. The design of drive-in racks implements two principles: LIFO (Last In, First Out) and FIFO (First In, First Out). The LIFO principle is the most effective: one product name - one rack lane. Following this principle, loading and unloading of sections occurs on a "last in, first out" basis. The FIFO principle is also used for warehouse layout - the goods loaded first are unloaded first. For this scheme, separate loading and unloading zones must be present in the warehouse. APPLICATION: This type of rack system is recommended for storing homogeneous loads.
