Description

The Datalogic Magellan 1500i scanner is a presentation image scanner with unmatched 1D and 2D barcode reading performance—both printed and from the screens of mobile devices. The ability to decode watermarks and Digimarc barcodes turns the Magellan 1500i into a unique device ready to meet both current and future market needs. The Magellan 1500i uses a high-performance megapixel sensor and adjustable optics to cover a large scanning area from a distance of up to 25 cm and with a linear code reading speed of up to 1.5 m/s. Powerful decoding algorithms provide unmatched 1D and 2D barcode reading performance, including damaged and low-contrast ones. The durable, comfortable illumination ensures comfortable reading of 1D and 2D barcodes, both printed and on mobile device screens, reducing reflections and eliminating flicker that can cause operator discomfort. Datalogic Motionix™ motion detection technology allows the scanner to intuitively switch to manual scanning mode when the device is picked up. This activates the LED aimer, and the 'Green Spot' technology aims a 'green window' at the code. When the scanner is placed back on the stand, the device automatically switches to stationary mode. Benefits of the Magellan 1500i scanner: - Small footprint - saves workspace. - Ergonomic, stylish design guarantees ease of use for all users. - Power from a standard USB port (2.5 W) or a standard power source. - Scanning of all standard 1D and 2D codes. - Digimarc® code decoding option. - Available in black and white colors for use in various applications. Key application areas: convenience stores, pharmacies, tobacco kiosks, specialty retail, discounters, hospitality, and service sectors.
