Description

GEOS AL-956 is a two-pocket banknote sorter of a new generation, designed for enterprises with high cash turnover. The device is equipped with modern verification sensors that detect high-quality counterfeits: detection is performed automatically from all sides simultaneously. The two-pocket design ensures continuous operation — the sorter separates bundles of different denominations and emissions, sorts banknotes by orientation or side, and sets aside those requiring additional verification without stopping the counting. The device counts multi-currency packs with different denominations and automatically identifies up to 100 world currencies. Authenticity verification is performed through four channels: a contact image sensor (CIS), magnetic (MG), infrared (IR), and ultraviolet (UV) detectors. The device automatically detects counterfeit, double, damaged, and stuck-together banknotes, and also reads serial numbers. Control is based on a full-size 6.9" touch display with an intuitive multilingual interface. Counting speed switches between modes of 800, 1000, and 1200 banknotes per minute (800 and 1000 banknotes/min in MDC and SDC modes). The loading tray holds up to 500 banknotes, the receiving tray up to 200; feeding is roller, friction-type, with top loading. The device accepts banknotes sized from 50 × 100 mm to 90 × 190 mm and 0.08–0.12 mm thick. Connection to external devices is via RS-232 (COM), USB, and RJ-11. The casing is plastic, black; dimensions 270 × 265 × 325 mm, weight 9.4 kg. Power supply 100–240 V 50/60 Hz, power consumption up to 80 W. The sorter is suitable for banks, cash collection, retail trade, and other cash-handling activities.
