Banknote sorter GEOS AL-930A is multi-currency and designed for counting, sorting, and identifying banknotes of various currencies in automatic mode. The device belongs to the class of intelligent cash counting equipment with minimal operator involvement: it independently determines the currency and denomination of each banknote and verifies its authenticity. The device works with the ten most common currencies, among which are the hryvnia, US dollar, euro, Polish zloty, and British pound. Counting speed can be switched between modes of 800, 1000, 1200, and 1500 banknotes per minute. Main functions: automatic detection of denomination and currency, total banknote count calculation, calculation of the sum of banknotes of one and different denominations in a single pack, batching by denominations or sums, serial number reading. Authenticity verification is performed by four detection channels: ultraviolet (UV), infrared (IR), and magnetic (MG) detectors, as well as a contact image sensor (dual CIS), which provides an increased level of counterfeit banknote detection. The counterfeit banknote detection sensor can be manually calibrated. The friction-type roller feed mechanism with top loading accepts up to 500 banknotes into the feed pocket and up to 300 banknotes into the receiving pocket. Control is integrated on a 4.5-inch color touch display. A convenient service window is provided for daily maintenance and cleaning—for example, when paper clips or small coins get inside, or when dust needs to be removed. The sorter connects to external devices via RS-232 (COM), USB, and RJ-11. The housing is plastic, black in color; dimensions are 265 × 235 × 230 mm, weight is 6.5 kg.
